Waited So Long
By Misha
Disclaimer- Not mine. I’m just borrowing them for a little while and will return them when I am done.
Author’s Notes- This is basically what I really, really want to see in next week’s Hero finale. I want a good Grayson scene, damn it! However, in case we don’t get one, I’ve decided to write my own. This also combines three of the kiss prompts: breathtaking kiss (description below), breaking the kiss to speak but standing so close that you murmur into their mouth, and trailing kisses from the collarbone to the mouth. I have a lot of Grayson requests, so I decided to combine a couple.
Pairing- Grayson/MC
Rating- NSFW
Summary- Lexi tells Grayson the truth and then they give into the feelings that they had been denying for too long.
Words- 1118
I watched Grayson carefully, waiting for him to just process what I had just told him. I’d asked him to meet me at my apartment, knowing it was time to tell him the truth and then I dropped the bombshell on him. It wasn’t an easy conversation and I expected it would take a few minutes for what I had just told him to sink in.
I actually wasn’t sure how he’d react, after all, “hey, I’m a superhero and, oh, your dad is a supervillain” isn’t something that lends itself to easy conversation. I figured denial, anger, and shock would all be reasonable reactions and I braced myself, just in case.
There was a long moment of silence and then suddenly, his lips were against mine. That had not been the reaction I’d been expecting, so I just sat there for a few seconds, trying to process what was happening and then instinct took over and I kissed him back.
The kiss quickly deepened, taking on an almost desperate quality as he pushed me back onto the couch, his body covering mine. It felt so good and I let myself get carried away by the moment, savoring the feeling of his body against mine. However, eventually, reality intruded.
“Shouldn’t we talk?” I asked, breaking the kiss, though he was still on top of me, pressing me into the couch. Our faces were still so close that the words were whispered into his mouth.
“Not right now,” he told me, kissing me again, “I just… When I think about what you went through, I need to touch you, to assure myself that you are alright and that you’re really here, with me.”
Since touching him felt really, really good, I wasn’t going to argue with that. Instead, I undid the buttons of his shirt and pushed it off his shoulders revealing a leanly muscled chest. “Hmmm….” I murmured appreciatively, running my hands over his chest as he trailed kisses along collarbone and then up my neck and along my jaw. Finally, his lips met mine again, and I tangled my fingers in his blonde hair as he deepened the kiss, his tongue seeking entry to my mouth, which I gave willingly.
We stayed there for a long time, our hands caressing each other as we kissed eagerly.
“We should take this to my bedroom,” I said finally, the words coming out in a bit of a breathless whisper.
Grayson pulled back a bit and looked at me, his expression serious. “Are you sure?”
“I’ve been waiting for this moment for seven years,” I told him honestly.
I could see the relief in his expression. “Me too,” he admitted, kissing me again.
It was another few minutes before we actually managed to get off the couch and we left a trail of clothing from the living room to my bedroom as we made our way there, very slowly, still locked in each other’s arms.
“You are so beautiful,” Grayson told me tenderly when we finally reached the bedroom.
“You’re not exactly hard on the eyes,” I teased, knowing that was the understatement of the year. He was so handsome that it made my heart ache.
Grayson ran a gentle hand over my face before kneeling down in front of me and I sighed as he placed kisses on the inside of my thighs. His hands caressed my breasts as his lips moved higher, causing me to let out a little gasp. The gasps got louder as he continued to work with me his lips and tongue.
“Grayson,” I moaned, pulling at his hair and wondering if my legs were going to be able to hold me. His arm wrapped around me as I shuddered against him, steadying me. Once the shuddering had subsided, he stood up and kissed me deeply. When the kiss ended, I reached for him, my hands cupping him, noting how hard he was already, and I began to kneel, but he stopped me.
“Not tonight,” he told me, stilling my hand, “I can’t wait any longer.”
“Me either,” I told him, moving towards the bed.
Grayson joined me and we fell down together, our mouths joined, our bodies wrapped around one another. He rolled us so I was on my back.
“I’m on the pill,” I told him when he paused, “and I’m safe.” It had been a while since my last relationship and I wasn’t one for casual sex.
“I am too,” Grayson assured me. He looked into my eyes, obviously wanting confirmation and at my nod, he positioned himself over me and then entered me in one swift movement. I arched my hips to meet him, my hands caressing his shoulders. We moved in time with one another, our movements slow and deliberate at first and then becoming faster and more frantic as the overwhelming need overtook us.
“I’ve spent a long time imagining you like this,” Grayson whispered against my skin as he moved inside of me, “wondering what you would feel like, imagine you sighing my name in pleasure.”
“Grayson…”
“Yes, just like that,” he encouraged, claiming my mouth in another kiss as he sped up his pace. He slipped a hand between our bodies to help speed things up for me and the combined motions of his hand and hips were too much for me.
“Grayson,” I cried out, “Oh, Grayson.”
As I clenched around him, I could feel that he was close and a moment later, he came with a cry of his own. “Lexi!” Grayson collapsed against me for a moment, still shuddering. He pressed a quick kiss against my lips and then rolled over onto his back.
He reached for me, pulling me against him. I settled comfortably into his arms, a little in awe over what had just happened.
“I love you,” he said suddenly. I froze, sure I had misheard him. “I don’t know how long I’ve loved you,” he continued, “but it feels like I’ve always loved you, I just didn’t know how to say the words.”
Oh, wow.
“I love you too,” I told him quickly, the words pouring out.
Grayson shifted so that he could kiss me again, a long, sweet kiss. “I love you, Alexandra Hart,” he whispered against my mouth, his hands resting on my back.
“I love you, Grayson Prescott,” I assured him, knowing it was the truth. I wasn’t sure when I had fallen in love with him, it had snuck up on me over the years, but somewhere along the way, he had stolen my heart. And knowing that he felt the same, that we were finally together, well it just filled me with a sense of complete happiness.
I knew that it wouldn’t last, that we had a lot to talk about and that this little interlude couldn’t last forever and as beautiful as this moment was, things were still really complicated. After all, I had just escaped from his father’s dungeon.
But, reality could wait a little while longer, I wanted to savor this moment with Grayson. I had waited so long to be here, with him, and I wasn’t ready for it to end.
