Disclaimer- Not Mine. I’m not making money off of this, so please don’t sue me.

Author’s Notes- Another short, fluffy piece. As much as I love Dom and Sei, I find Sei to write and I hope I got her character and their dynamic right. The prompt for this one was “I’m pregnant”.

Pairing- Dom/Sei

Rating- PG

Summary- Sei has news for Dom.

Words- 409

“Sei? I’m back!” Dom called out, stepping into the small home he and Sei shared in the mountain village. Normally his wife greeted him as soon as he arrived in the village, but she had been notably absent.

“Go away.” He heard her call from the bedroom.

He frowned and headed in that direction. “I just got home and you’re already sending me away?” He joked, opening the door, “normally it longer than that for me to piss you off.”

He stopped talking as soon as he opened the door, filled with concern at the sight of Sei laying on the bed, looking pale and miserable. “Sei, what’s wrong?”

She sat up, glaring at him. “What’s wrong? What’s wrong? I feel like my insides are trying to crawl out of me, I ache, and it’s all your fault and you ask what’s wrong?!”

“I think I’m missing something,” Dom said, conversations with Sei could be confusing but this was something else. He literally had no idea why she was upset.

I’m pregnant, you idiot!” She yelled out.

Dom stared at her and then started to grin. “What? That’s amazing!” He bent to kiss her and then stopped when she continued to glare. “Isn’t it?”

He wasn’t quite sure what was going on here. He and Sei had agreed that they wanted children. Was it the hormones? He had limited experience with pregnancy, only Kenna and if she had experienced any crazy mood swings she’d saved them for Diavolos.

“I feel like death,” Sei complained, “I cannot keep food down, I need to pee constantly and I have a burning sensation in my chest and you, you get to stand there with a smug grin.”

This time Dom did approach, gathering her in his arms. “I’m sorry, honey, if there is anything I can do to make you feel better, name it.”

Sei smiled and leaned against him. “I am sorry, I didn’t mean to tell you like that,” she apologized after a moment, “and yes, it is a good thing, it’s just I dislike being sick.”

“I know,” Dom told her, he kissed the top of her head. “I can’t help with that, but I’ll take care of you any way I can.” He rested his hand on top of her stomach. “We’re going to have a baby.”

“We are,” she agreed, “and if you think I’m mad at you now, imagine how I’m going to fell during the delivery.”
