If Only A Fantasy

Author’s Notes- Have I ever mentioned how much I love writing modern Diavolos and Kenna? Because I really do. This one fits three requests: getting fucked over a desk or table/sex in an office, the line “feel what you do to me”, and one party watching the other pleasure themselves. This is set after “Just For Tonight”.
Rating- NSFW
Pairing- Modern Diavolos/Kenna
Summary- Kenna and Diavolos have a sexy interlude in his office.
Words- 1768
Kenna stepped cautiously into the Abanthus Corp headquarters; even though it was after hours she felt awkward being there. Maybe even more so because it was after hours and she couldn’t even shrug her visit off as business (even if she did try very carefully to avoid business deals of any kind with Luther).
Yet, somehow here she was.
She’d texted Diavolos about dinner and he’d commented he was working late, she’d assumed that was that and he’d suggested that she swing by his office, after first promising that he’d be the only one there, and join him for takeout.
Kenna had considered saying no, she knew she should have said no. Their arrangement might have spiraled way beyond its original definition, but there were still limits and this place, well it was a reminder as to why.
Yet, here she was. She was walking into enemy territory, even if it was impossible to think of Diavolos as the enemy, the rest of his family, and what they represented, still was. It was something she tried to remind herself, but it was getting harder and harder to remember.
Diavolos had texted her the code to the private elevator and she quickly made her way there and then up to the executive floor. It was abandoned, which was a relief because she really didn’t want to make an excuse as to why she was there. Kenna made her way down the hall quickly, trying not to think about where she was, and followed the directions Diavolos had given her. The door was closed, but she didn’t bother knocking, after all, he was expecting her.
“Hey,” she said as she stepped inside, still feeling a little out of place.
Diavolos stood as soon as she entered and immediately crossed the room to take her in his arms. “Hey baby,” he greeted before pressing his lips to hers.
Kenna kissed him back eagerly, melting into his embrace.
“You sounded like you were having a rough day,” Kenna commented when they parted.
Diavolos rolled his eyes as he took her hand and led her to the small table, which she noticed already contained their food. “That’s an understatement. My father is in Australia so I’m running things here, my sister has started another Twitter feud with some pop star and Marco has been throwing his weight around to the point that we have a threatened work stoppage in one of our plants, and I’ve been working around the clock to iron out a new manufacturing deal and don’t have time to deal with the rest of this.”
Kenna groaned in sympathy. “That sounds like a lot,” she agreed.
Part of her wondered if he should be confiding in her, they were business rivals and there was that weird line in their relationship that they knew not to cross and this was crossing it. This conversation, her presence in his office, all of it and yet she couldn’t bring herself to care. She wanted to be there for him, though she wasn’t going to examine that too closely.
“I’m probably sleeping here tonight,” Diavolos commented, nodding his head towards the couch. “But I needed a break.”
“I’m glad I could be of service,” Kenna said sincerely as she took a seat. The conversation was light as they ate. “Do you want me to leave you to your work?” Kenna asked once they were finished.
“No,” Diavolos said simply, getting to his feet. “I want you.”
Kenna smirked. “How do you want me?”
“That’s a dangerous question,” Diavolos murmured as he came up behind her, pulling her hard against him, his breath hot against her neck.
“Is it?” Kenna asked coyly. One of the things she liked about Diavolos was how take-charge he was. He was a commanding man, both in business and in the bedroom, and she had to admit she found it very attractive. She was used to being the one calling the shots, but it was kind of nice to let someone else do it for a change.
“Get on that desk,” Diavolos ordered in a low voice, then grabbed the corner of her dress, “but first, take this off.”
“I can do that,” Kenna agreed, quickly slipping the dress over her head and tossing it to the floor. There was something almost dangerous about doing this in Luther’s building, like she flouting everything that stood between her and Diavolos.
Kenna reached behind her back to undo her bra, but Diavolos stopped her. “Not yet.”
Kenna nodded and stepped towards the desk. Diavolos cleared it off lazily, moving his laptop aside and then pushing everything else aside carelessly. Kenna climbed onto the desk and sat facing him, watching him expectantly.
“Touch yourself,” Diavolos ordered, taking a seat in his office chair and leaning back, gazing up at her, “touch yourself the way you do when I’m not there.”
Kenna bit her lip, her eyes fastened on his and then she reached down and pushed the blue satin of her underwear to the side, sliding her fingers inside. She could feel Diavolos gaze on her as she pumped her fingers in and out, her breathing getting more rapid as she increased her pace.
“You are so fucking gorgeous,” he told her in a low voice. “What do you think of when you do that? When you get yourself off?”
“You,” Kenna admitted, gasping a bit as she continued to work her fingers, “I think about you.”
“What about me?” Diavolos prodded, his dark eyes full of heat.
“About you fingers, your mouth… Your cock…” She barely got the last word out when Diavolos stood up quickly and stood over her, slamming his mouth down onto hers. Kenna kissed him back eagerly, her fingers still sliding in and out.
Diavolos stilled her hand, covering it with his big one. “What do you want?” He asked against her lips.
“I want you,” Kenna told him breathlessly, “I need you inside of me.”
Diavolos captured her hand and pressed it to the front of his pants. Kenna groaned at the feeling of his hardness under her hands, instinctively palming him through the fabric. “Feel what you do to me,” he told her, “I’ve never wanted anyone the way I want you, Kenna.”
“Me either,” she admitted, pulling her hand back so she could rest back on her palms on the desk, gazing up at him.
Diavolos hastily undid his pants and then pushed them down, as he did that Kenna slid her underwear off, tossing it aside carelessly. Diavolos lined himself between her legs, his hands braced on the desk on either side of her.
“Fuck me,” Kenna begged, gazing up at him. That was all the invitation he needed because the next thing she knew he was slamming into her. It was fast and furious and exactly Kenna needed. She wrapped her legs around his waist, arching her hips into him and meeting him thrust for thrust. Diavolos tangled his hand in her long dark hair, pulling her close so that he could kiss her deeply as he continued to pound into her. It felt so good.
“Diavolos,” she gasped once she was close, “oohhh Diavolos.”
“Fuck, Kenna,” Diavolos groaned, his breathing becoming more uneven, “you feel…” He spilled inside of her a moment later, his grip tightening on her hair as he did so. He covered her face with kisses, his free hand massaging her back and then he pulled away.
Diavolos reached for his pants, pulling them back up. Kenna knew she needed to find her underwear and get dressed, but she wasn’t in a rush, she just laid there on the desk for a moment, gazing up at him.
“God, you are the most beautiful thing I’ve seen,” Diavolos told her, kissing her again, this time with a tenderness that took her breath away. “I’m never going to look at that desk the same way,” he told her.
“Good,” Kenna said with a laugh, finally climbing off the desk and finding her underwear.
Before she could grab her dress, Diavolos wrapped his arms around her pulling her into a hug. “I needed this,” he told her, “I needed you.”
Kenna didn’t know how to answer that. There was no easy answer because there was no easy definition for their relationship and there was no future for them, even if at moments like this, it felt like there should be. She snuggled into his embrace for a long moment, clinging to the moment. Finally, though, she pulled back.
“You should probably get back to work,” she reminded him as she grabbed her dress and put it back on.
Diavolos sighed, “probably.”
“Are you really going to sleep here?” Kenna asked curiously.
Diavolos shrugged, “wouldn’t be the first time. Besides, it makes more sense than dragging myself home to an empty apartment, just to come back here in the morning.”
“Well, if you decide you don’t want to sleep on the couch you can come to my place,” Kenna offered before she could stop herself. “You have a key, you can just let yourself in. That way you wouldn’t be going home to an empty apartment and it beats sleeping on the couch.”
She thought back to the night a few weeks earlier when she’d hesitated about letting herself into Diavolos’ apartment, worried that he might have someone in there, and yet before that moment of doubt, it had felt so right to go to him. She wanted to be able to offer him the same.
“I don’t know how late I’ll be,” Diavolos said after a moment, “I’ll try not to wake you.”
Kenna smiled, “Ok.” She rose on her tiptoes and kissed him, his strong arm wrapping around her and pulling her close.
After a long moment, she pulled away and headed for the door, a smile on her face at the thought of waking up next to Diavolos. Yet, the smile vanished when she reached the elevator and her eyes lingered on the Abanthus Corp sign in the hallway, once again reminding her of everything that stood between her and Diavolos.
Tonight was an interlude, a dream, nothing more and the longer they prolonged it, the more it would when reality came down on them. Kenna knew she should send Diavolos a text, rescinding her off, but she didn’t. At this point, the end was going to hurt, there was no avoiding it, all she could do was delay it for as long as possible and enjoy the little moments of fantasy.
Of believing this could ever be real.
