2: Who sleeps in the other’s lap?
I blinked awake, I must have fallen asleep without realizing it.
Wait. I was in bed, how had I gotten there? The last thing I remembered was watching a movie with Adam, my suggestion. How had I ended up in our bed?
“Good morning, beautiful,” Adam said from behind me, raising himself up on one elbow and leaning over to kiss me.
“Did you carry me to bed?” I asked, moving closer to him. Of course, he had.
“I thought you’d be more comfortable here,” he answered, reaching out towards me, “was I wrong?”
“No,” I told him, leaning into kiss him, “not wrong at all.”
And that was the amazing contradiction of Adam, he could be so ruthless and cold and yet, so sweet and considerate. Which was the real Adam? Or was it both? Did 300+ years on this Earth mean that he could only operate on extremes?

3: Who walks around the house half-naked and who yells at them to put on some clothes?
“You’re being unreasonable,” I told Adam, my hands on my hips.
“I’m unreasonable?” He asked coolly. “You were the one walking around half-naked in front of my staff.”
“I was wearing pajamas,” I corrected, “and I was in my kitchen, getting coffee and the page wandered in. It wasn’t a big deal. I didn’t know I had to dress before I left my bedroom.”
“What if it had been the press?” Adam countered.
“Well, since you tell me whenever you’re having a press conference and you never allow them past the foyer, I felt pretty safe,” I said in annoyance. “Adam, I didn’t do anything wrong. It wasn’t like I was walking around the house in a teddy.”
His eyes darkened at the image. “Don’t.”
I wasn’t planning on it, but I was intrigued by his reaction, by the jealousy and possession lingering under the surface. “What would you do if I did?” I tested, moving closer to him.
He immediately and crushed me to his chest, his lips hard and possessive against mine. “Don’t test me on this, Lilith, you’re mine.”

4: Which one tells the other not to stay up all night and which one stays up all night anyway?
“You have a meeting in the morning,” Adam reminded me.
I ignored the subtle command. “I want to be part of this discussion, it concerns me, remember?” After all, this was one of the reasons I’d agreed to the marriage.
Adam hesitated, obviously weighing his chances of winning this one. “Don’t blame me when you have to get up,” was all he said and he headed towards the door.
I couldn’t contain my smile as I followed him. I had a feeling that victories would be few and far between with Adam and I was going to cherish each one, no matter how small.

7: Which one constantly wears the other’s clothes?
“I believe this is mine,” Adam commented in a low voice, running his hand over the pajama top I was wearing.
“The top or me?” I asked teasingly, wrapping my arms around his neck.
“Both,” Adam answered, his hands nimbly undoing the buttons and then slipping the silk off my shoulders. “And I’m claiming what’s mine.”
He lowered his mouth to mine, his tongue parting my lips, seeking entry as his hands caressed my bare body. I surrendered willingly, giving myself to him willingly. He was right, I was his and we both knew it.

13: Which one likes to surprise the other with a lot of small random gifts?
I reached for the little box on my dresser, knowing that it hadn’t been there when I’d gone to bed.
My jaw clenched involuntarily as I opened it, revealing a pair of stunning emerald and diamond earrings. They were undeniably beautiful, but they didn’t make me smile. No, a glance at the mirror displayed a tense expression as I carefully put the earrings on, after all, they were meant to be worn.
They were beautiful and I was grateful, but it was hard to admire their beauty when I remembered the argument that Adam and I’d had the night before, the way he’d coldly dismissed any possibility that he might be wrong, how the bed had been empty when I fell asleep and when I woke up, though these earrings proved he’d been there at some point. The earrings felt like a pay-off, like a reminder of the luxury I lived in and that I should be grateful and not complain.
And that was a hard thought to swallow, let alone do it with a smile.

15: Which one screams about the spider and which one brings the spider outside?
“Ahhh!” I screamed, staring at the horrifying creature.
My scream brought my husband running at superhuman speed. “Lilith?” His fangs were out and he looked around, obviously ready for an attack and then he froze, not seeing the danger. “What’s wrong, sweetheart?”
“Spider!” I told him, pointing at the evil creature.
“You can marry a vampire, but you are afraid of a spider?” Adam asked with obvious amusement.
“If you had eight legs, I wouldn’t have married you, either,” I said primly. “Can you please do your husbandly duties and get rid of it?”

16: Which one gives the other their jacket?
Adam slipped off his jacket and placed it around my shoulders.
I smiled gratefully, not protesting. It wasn’t like he could get cold. “It suddenly got chilly.”
“It did,” Adam agreed, “winter is coming.”
“You sound like a Stark,” I teased.
Adam rolled his eyes, “winter means longer nights,” he reminded me, “and less daylight.”
And more time for trouble, I realized. Vampires probably had a love-hate relationship with winter, at least the ones on the council did, the ones who bore the responsibility of what other vampires did.

18: Who’s the first one to admit they have feelings for the other?
I loved him.
The knowledge hit me like a sledgehammer and just as pleasant.
If I could see my face, I’m sure I would see horror written all over him, as the realization washed over me.
I loved him. I was in love with him. I hadn’t planned on this, I didn’t want it, but I couldn’t deny it either. I just had to figure out what I was going to do about it, since denial or running away weren’t valid options, no matter how good it sounded right about. Much better than confronting the fact that I had been stupid enough to fall in love with my vampire husband.

19: How good would your OTP be at parenting?
“I wasn’t a very good father,” Adam commented quietly, his hand resting on my stomach and the small bump forming there.
“Weren’t things different then?” I asked curiously, thinking about what I’d seen in historical books and shows.
“Yes,” Adam agreed, “men, especially nobles, were not expected to take much of an interest in their children, outside of their oldest sons, and making sure the children reflected well on them.”
I wanted to ask him about his children, but I hesitated. It was odd to think he’d had this whole other life, before me, long before I was even born.
“Well, times have changed,” I told him instead, “this time around, you’ll get the full experience, including diaper changes and middle of the night feedings.”

22: Who makes the bad puns and who makes a pained smile every time the other makes a pun?
(A.N- I am an unfunny person and suck at writing jokes, so I had to improvise a bit)
Adam shot me a look. “Are you ever going to run out of vampire jokes?”
I grinned. “You know the internet exists, right? There are websites dedicated to vampire jokes.”
Adam groaned quietly and I heard him mutter something about changing the wi-fi password.
