Author’s Notes- LoveMeSomeSnark and LizeEBoredom both deserve a shout-out for this because they shared the fail ending with me and immediately gave me the idea of as a second ending to Forbidden. This is the dark ending, the not-so-happy one and the one that isn’t really an ending at all. Also, I correct a few things with the fail ending (like why is Adam just killing Adrian after going through all that effort to get the serum).

Chapter Ten: The Fight (Ending B)
I desperately fumbled for the crossbow, firing it directly at Adam.
The bolt streaked through the air right at him, but he shot out a hand, catching it mid-air!
“Nice try, sweetheart.” He told me with a grin before he spun around and drove whatever was in his hand, into Adrian’s chest. I watched in horror as Adrian fell to the ground, unconscious.
“A powerful sedative, developed by the Raines Corporation,” Adam said casually, “he’ll be out for hours, long enough to get what I need.”
“Oh god,” I whispered, looking at Adrian’s prone form and then back at Adam who was moving towards me, every inch the predator about to catch his prey. “No no no.”
I tried to run, but he was too fast.
“Oh yes.” He assured me, his arms slipping around me and holding me tight against him, so I couldn’t move. I felt no heat this time, no thrill from being in his embrace, only fear over what he was about to do.
Was he going to kill me or…?
“This will only hurt for a moment,” He assured me, his voice as smooth as ever, “and then when you wake up, you will be stronger, better, ready to take your place as my queen.”
I was frozen in place, unable to even scream as he lowered his fangs to my neck. There was pain, but also pleasure, my body betraying me as it reacted to the sensations Adam was awakening in me and then before long, the pleasure receded and there was only darkness…
