Author’s Notes- This is my first Love Hacks fic. It’s a Mark/MC story set sometime in the future. It’s a bit of a Royal Romance crossover, as my Love Hacks MC, Evie Sloane and my TRR heroine, Eleanor Sloane, are first cousins. This is the last of the fics for my 500 followers contest, this one was requested by

Words- 528
“Mark, we don’t have time,” I protested as my fiancé wrapped his arms around me and pulled me into a deep kiss. Though my protest quickly faded as I responded to his kiss.
Finally, though, I pulled away. “We have a rehearsal dinner to get to,” I reminded him, my arms still wrapped around his neck.
Mark sighed, “I know. Isaac’s been sending me texts all day. He’s freaking out.”
“He knows he’s not the one getting married, right?” I asked, though I had a pretty good idea what the problem was.
“Yeah,” Mark told me, “but he’s paranoid about the security detail. He thinks he’s going to say or do something wrong and be hauled off to jail for insulting foreign royalty.”
“Did you assure him that Ellie is pretty easy going?” I asked. “It’s not like she’s going to have him arrested for making a bad joke.”
“I did,” Mark answered, “but you know Isaac. I don’t really blame him, a part of me is still freaking out that there’s going to be a queen at my wedding.”
“She’s still Ellie,” I reminded him, Mark had met my cousin several times over the years, long before she’d become Queen Eleanor of Cordonia.
“I know,” Mark said defensively, “and you know I love Ellie, but… It’s still weird. I mean your cousin married a king.” He looked down at me with a teasing grin. “Are you sad that you have to settle for me?”
“Never,” I assured him, reaching up to press my lips against his, “I am so excited that I get to be your wife.”
“I’ve dreamed about this for years,” Mark admitted, his hands on my waist. “I never thought it would come true.”
“But it has,” I reminded him, “tomorrow we’re going to be husband and wife. All the wedding planning, all the craziness will be behind us, and it’ll be just the two of us and our life together.”
“I like that thought,” Mark told me, “though we still have to make it through the rehearsal dinner and the wedding without any of our friends causing an international incident.”
I laughed, “that’s true.”
I couldn’t imagine getting married without my cousin by my side, but it had required a lot of careful arranging and some sacrifices. Mark might joke about it but I knew he was a little stressed about the whole thing and I couldn’t blame him. We had planned a nice, chill wedding ceremony and reception and had had to make adjustments to accommodate for Eleanor’s presence.
“Thank you,” I said quietly, gazing up at him.
“For what?” He asked, brushing a strand of hair out of my face.
“Just for being you,” I said, “I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you, Mark Collins.”
“Good, because you’re stuck with me now,” he replied, pulling me close and kissing me again, a deep, happy kiss.
We stood there for a long moment before I finally pushed placed my hands on his chest and gave a friendly shove. “If we want to get started on that life together, we need to get going. Less kissing, more moving.”
