Author’s Note: Ever since I answered @mrswalkerwrites’s pet headcanon request a week or so ago, I could not get this little drabble idea out of my head for @enmchoice’s fluffy prompt request #9 “You’re soft and warm and I don’t want you to move.” This is short and sweet and silly, but it just wouldn’t go away until I wrote it. Seth inhaled a long, invigorating breath as he stretched his arms out in bed, knocking the body lying next to him. He smiled as he stroked the soft hair splayed across the pillow, eliciting a soft sigh from his partner as he rolled over to drape an arm around their waist. “You’re soft and warm and I don’t want you to move.” He muttered quietly as he nuzzled into their neck and settled back into his pillow, savoring the feel of the warm, comforting body against his snoring softly beside him as he drifted back to sleep.
“Well I’m not sure if I should be jealous that I’ve been so easily replaced …” Seth heard Jessica’s cheerful morning voice from the doorway, “but I guess I should forgive you since you’re so darn cute together.” Jess giggled at the sight of her boyfriend cuddled up against their 75 pound yellow lab mix Rocky in bed, both of them stirring from their sleep to glance in the direction of their disturbance.
Seth grinned up sleepily at her as she sat on the edge of the bed, stroking the fur down Rocky’s belly before placing a hand on top of Seth’s. “Good morning boys.” She whispered affectionately as she leaned down to press a kiss to Rocky’s ear and then Seth’s smirking lips.
“It’s good morning to you, but it’s only a brief intermission for these two guys.” He yawned as he settled on his back to gaze up at her. “You off to the set already?”
“Yes, unfortunately we have a big day of stunts and they want us there early.” She sighed regretfully.
“You won’t be too tired to come to my show tonight, will you?” Seth asked hopefully.
“I may be asleep in the back until your set, but I wouldn’t miss it for the world.” She leaned down again and placed another sweet kiss to his mouth. “I love you. Go back to sleep.” She beamed down at her boys as she stood up to walk towards the door.
“You’re the boss, Iowa.” Seth rolled back to his side and snuggled up against Rocky again. “You heard the lady, boy.” Rocky replied with another deep sigh and a low groan as he dug his face under the pillow and the two boys settled back in to sleep.
