summary: after busy few days dhalia and zig finally have some time for each other
a/n: I’m a sucker for cloud gazing and i had this idea in my mind for a long time now so here it is!!
“So what you wanna do now, dance star?” Dhalia asked after she and Zig left the building.
Zig finished his dance classes and finally had some time to spend with his girlfriend. The last few days were completely hectic and none of them was able to give up something in order to meet. But now they finally could rest and focus on each other. Both of them turned off their phones so that no one could interrupt them.
“I don’t really have anything in mind, to be honest,” Zig confessed. “I just want to spend some quality time with my beautiful girlfriend who I missed very much.” He added then suddenly lift Dhalia up and began to spinning around with her in his arms.
“I missed you too, you dufus.” Dhalia laughed and leaned in to kiss Zig after he stopped spinning. “Now, you can put me down.”
“Your wish is my command ma’am.” He kissed her again and then did what she wanted.
Dhalia took his hand in her and after one more kiss, they started walking ahead. On the way, Dhalia suggested they could go to her house, grab a blanket or two and then head to the park to which Zig, of course, said yes in an instant. He truly didn’t care what they will do as long as they can spend some time together, just the two of them.
When they arrived at the house, only Zack was there. And while Zig went to grab everything they needed from Dhalia’s room, she and Zack chatted for a moment. She even asked him to go with them but he knew that Dhalia and Zig didn’t see each other for a few days and said he didn’t want to be a third wheel and wished them a good time.
As they were on their way to the park Dhalia noticed how beautiful it is today. Sun was shining brightly, birds were singing in the trees and everyone they were passing by seemed to be so cheerful and in a good mood. Dhalia herself couldn’t stop smiling and she noticed that little smirk on Zig’s face too. Today was just wonderful and she wasn’t even surprised when she saw how many people decided to visit the park as well.
While she was holding the pillows, Zig took care of laying out the blankets. When he was done she threw one of them at him and couldn’t help herself but laugh at his reaction, which was truly priceless. When the moment of shock has passed Zig shook his head, chuckling and laid down.
Dhalia was quick to do the same and for a few minutes, they were just laying on the blankets, enjoying other person’s presence in comfortable silence. Dhalia absolutely loved that they were so used to each other they didn’t even need words.
“That cloud totally looks like a rabbit sitting on a giant ball,” Zig said pointing his finger at the sky.
“What?” Dhalia laughed. “No way! That’s totally a snowman with a lizard on its head.” She argued.
“A snowman? How do you see a snowman?” Zig asked, completely confused by Dhalia’s answer.
“How you do not see a snowman? It’s so obvious!” She said and started explaining which part of the cloud represents what. “Look, those parts that allegedly are rabbit’s ears clearly are a small lizard! And then everything down is a part of a snowman!”
“I still see a rabbit on a ball but sure if you say it somehow is a snowman, so be it.” Zig chuckled and turn his head to kiss Dhalia on the cheek. “Okay, but you can’t possibly tell me that the cloud next to it doesn’t look like a snake with hands holding a tiny heart.” He raised his eyebrow.
“Oh my god I was gonna say it! It totally does look like a snake, doesn’t it?” Dhalia agreed excitedly with a huge grin on her face. “And that one looks like two pans holding hands! This is so cute!” She giggled. “Clouds are awesome, don’t you think? Like… every single person can see entirely different things just like you saw a rabbit and I saw a snowman. I absolutely love cloud gazing.”
Zig was laying on his side, head on his hand and with pure love in his eyes was listening to Dhalia talking about clouds. He loved listening to things Dhalia was passionate about. When she was talking about those things her whole face immediately lit up and her eyes were literally sparkling with excitement.
“And I absolutely love you,” Zig whispered to her ear making Dhalia blush and stop talking for a moment.
“I love you, too.” She smiled fondly, completely forgetting about the clouds. She closed the distance between them and kiss Zig gently on the lips.
