summary: magnus, unconsciously, declared a war with lucas the day he took his favourite spot in the library
“Sorry but I really have to go.” Lucas said while packing all his stuff.
“Please don’t tell me you’re still fighting with that Magnus guy.” Stacy glared at him. “You know he’s into you, right? From what I’ve heard he’s not very subtle about it.” She rolled her eyes.
“No, he’s not. And even if he is it doesn’t matter because he’s a pain in the ass.”
“You sure about that?” Ava interjected. “’Cause you get really flustered whenever he’s near.”
“Wait! You’ve met him?” Stacy asked surprised.
“Yeah, when I went to the library with Lucas the other day. And let me tell you there’s some serious sexual tension between the two of them If you know what I mean.” She wiggled her brows.
“In that case, I’m coming with you!” Stacy declared looking at Lucas.
“Oh like hell you are!” He scoffed and run out of the coffee shop as fast as he could.
He seriously didn’t need Stacy to make remarks every time Magnus would look or talk to him. The situation was frustrating enough without her. And since both her and Ava were now so sure Magnus was into him it would only make everything ten times worse. And the only thing Lucas wanted was to have his favourite spot back and for Magnus to stop annoying him.
But as soon as he went into the building he knew that the ‘Magnus stopping annoying him’ part won’t happen today. Because there he was sprawled on the sofa with this awfully smug grin on his stupidly handsome face.
“Hey, hot stuff!” He greeted Lucas as soon as he saw him.
“Get lost,” Lucas grumbled.
“Oh c’mon! Don’t be so grumpy! Where’s that sexy smile of yours, huh?”
“It disappears every time I see you,” Lucas said and shoot him terribly fake smile. “Can you let me pass now?” He asked mentioning to Magnus’ legs laying on the chair and blocking Lucas’ way.
“But why? There’s plenty of room next to me.” Magnus winked and patted the space next to him on the sofa.
“In your dreams.” Lucas jeered.
“More often than you think.” Magnus chuckled and Lucas hated himself for the way that sound made him feel.
“Pervert.” Lucas teased and tried to pass, going over Magnus’ legs but Magnus wasn’t having it and in the middle of Lucas’ try he moved his legs and a moment later Lucas landed on top of Magnus.
“Uuu someone’s falling for me hard.” Magnus joked rising his eyebrows.
“I hate you so much right now,” Lucas mumbled angrily but despite that, his cheeks still got a shade redder than before.
“I’m actually really comfortable,” Magnus said, completely ignoring Lucas’ remark.
“Let me go,” Lucas demanded.
“Nah, I’m good,” Magnus smirked.
If it was anyone else Lucas would bury his head in their chest because of how embarrassed he was feeling but since it was Magnus he couldn’t do that. He didn’t want to give him the satisfaction.
“Gosh, you’re so annoying.” Lucas sighed. “Can’t you just leave me alone?” HE whined.
“Sorry, no can do.” Magnus shrugged.
“What do I have to do in order for you to leave me alone?” Lucas groaned.
“Glad you asked.” Magnus smiled mischievously at him. “Go on a date with me.”
“What?” Lucas laughed. “You can’t be serious right now.”
“Believe me, I’m dead serious.” He whispered leaning closer.
“And what if I say no?” Lucas asked in a hoarse voice.
There was no way in hell all of that was really happening. The fact that he was actually laying on Magnus was absurd enough and now he was asking him out? This must’ve been a dream or a terribly unfunny prank. Because how else could he explain this? He couldn’t, right? Magnus couldn’t possibly want to go on a date with him it wasn’t possible.
“I’m just gonna kiss you and make you wanna go on a date with me.” Magnus winked at him.
“Sure you will.” Lucas rolled his eyes and let out a breathy chuckle.
“You really wanna test me?” Magnus raised his brow, his face still only inches apart from Lucas’.
“Oh please, be my guest.” Lucas shook his head slightly more than sure that this is just another example of Magnus’ teasing.
And oh boy how shocked he was when Magnus just snorted and not even a second later his lips were on Lucas’. For a moment Lucas wasn’t even sure what was happening. His heart was racing like never before and he just fore in place. But then, just like something within him snapped, he let go of the books he was holding and cupped Magnus’ face instead. And he had no idea how much he really wanted to kiss this suave asshole until that very moment.
“So… Six is fine?” Magnus asked pulling out a little.
“I hate you. I hate you so much.” Lucas whispered.
“I’ll take that as a yes.” Magnus winked at him yet again and without another word went back to kissing Lucas – something he wanted to do since the day he unconsciously, declared a war with Lucas when he took his favourite spot in the library.
