Make You Feel My Love – Liam x MC

A/N: I was inspired to write Liam from the amazing work I’ve read from mrswalkerwrites. As the royal wedding rapidly approaches, Sophia struggles with the stresses of not having the support of the press or Cordonian people. NSFW

“You should have seen them today, Liam. They were vultures. I’m trying so hard to prove myself and it doesn’t seem to make a difference. I’m just… I’m exhausted.” Sophia blinked back tears letting out a heavy sigh. She didn’t want to share any of this with Liam. He already held an entire country’s troubles on his shoulders, but after today’s press events had all gone terribly wrong, she felt herself losing her composure and was nearing a total breakdown. She tried in vain to steady her wavering voice as she continued.

“You once told me I was a scandal waiting to happen. You weren’t wrong, Liam. Scandal seems to follow me and it makes me so angry that they drag you through the mud too. I’m screwing it all up horribly. I can’t handle the pressure. Our wedding is supposed to unify Cordonia, make them see the monarchy as a unit of strength after the assassination attempt, but I don’t know how to answer their questions with detail when they ask me about instability and our economic positions. It’s like I’m drowning out there and the people of Cordonia don’t trust a common nobody to know the first thing about what’s best for their country. And they shouldn’t. I’m no one… I’m not what your country needs and I’m terrified that one day you’ll resent that I’ll never be the Queen you need me to be.”

Her anxiety took over, leaving her arms and legs shaking. Truthfully, for the entire second half of their engagement tour she was barely holding it together. When Liam had proposed six months ago in New York, Sophia said yes with all the love in her heart. She did love Liam. She loved him so much that she was willing to dive in head first and adjust to life as a royal for a chance to spend her life with him despite all the suffering they had faced to get here. When he asked to not wait to get married to unite their country, she enthusiastically agreed but the realities of courtly life as a queen to be were much harder on her than she ever could have imagined. She was often reminded this whirlwind of an engagement had started with a shooting. With their wedding just a few short days away she was met with concern at every turn if she was fit for this role and it was getting to her. The pressure was threatening to swallow her whole. She didn’t know how much longer she could carry on like this.

Liam frowned and took a careful step toward her, placing his hands on her arms to steady her. He tucked her hair behind her ear and tilted her chin so their eyes met.

“Soph, do you know why I went against the advice of my entire family and left Madeline to marry you?”

Sophia cocked an eyebrow. “Because Madeline was the devil incarnate?”

Liam let out a jovial chuckle. “No, that’s not why. I picked you because you, Sophia Elizabeth James, are anything but common. You may not have been bred for this as Madeline was, but you were born for it. Your instincts are sharp. You have a unique ability to sense what people need. You are sincere, fair, honest, humble, intelligent, determined, kind, honourable. When things get hard, you do not run. You face your trials with strength, courage and integrity.” Liam pressed a soft kiss to her forehead.

“You have nothing to fear. The press will always write what they think sells, but I know who you are Sophia, and you will be a queen for the people. In time, Cordonians will fall in love hopelessly in love with you as I have. Shall I go on? I could forever as your qualifications to be our queen are endless.”

Sophia snaked her arms around his torso and held him tight. Soon her body stilled and her breathing steadied as his strong arms supported her petite frame. “Thank you.” She whispered against his chest. “I hope you never regret choosing me, Liam.”

Suddenly, Liam tensed his muscles in frustration. It was one thing for her to feel inadequate with the press or the people. He had dealt with that his whole life and understood better than anyone the effect this way of life could have on your spirit, but his heart broke at the idea that she felt inadequate to him. “Sophia.” He said seriously. “Comment pourrais-je te regretter? Je ne peux pas vivre sans toi. Tu es l’amour de ma vie et la reine de mon coeur. Je te choisirai toujours. Toujours.” Liam pressed a fervent, bruising kiss to her lips to emphasize his point.

Sophia couldn’t help the soft moan that escaped her lips as Liam backed them onto their bed and pushed his leg between hers. She relished in the feeling of being under him, grinding against his growing bulge, her body responding voraciously to his touch. The touch that made her forget the rest of world and every problem gnawing at her.

“Mon seul regret était de ne pas te demander de m’épouser à mon couronnement, ma chérie.” He continued. “Je suis l’homme le plus chanceux du monde à vous avoir, Sophia. J’ai besoin que tu comprennes ça. Je t’aime tellement.” Each word he spoke stoked the fire building inside her. It made her dizzy with pleasure when he spoke in his native tongue. He usually only spoke it to her privately when he was fiercely determined about something, and seeing him so passionate always sent thrills from her head to her toes.

“Montre-moi combien, Liam. Je veux te sentir en moi. Maintenant.” She shifted beneath him to untie her wrap dress allowing it to fall open, then gathered his shirt in her fist and pulled his upper body closer to her. She was desperate to feel him on her bare skin.

“You’ve been practicing.” Liam crooned in her ear making her whole body shudder beneath him. “You speak our language beautifully, my queen. J’ai l’intention de te montrer maintenant, et tous les soirs pour le reste de ma vie. Je vais adorer chaque centimètre de ta peau, Sophia. D’ici…”

He lowered his lips to hers. “Ici…” Liam trailed biting kisses all down her stomach before gently parting her legs and hovering at her core stopping to meet her gaze. “Et surtout ici.” Sophia gasped loudly as he urgently shoved her panties aside and buried his head between her legs. Liam’s hands gripped her hips firmly as she helplessly squirmed beneath him.

“Oh my god.” A throaty moan escaped Sophia’s lips. “I’m so close, Liam.” Her entire body was convulsing with pleasure. He reached up to her squeeze her breasts, flicking his tongue in and out of her, sucking her throbbing clit until she came undone screaming his name.

Liam looked up at her with a sly smile and licked his lips. “You taste so sweet. I could do that all night long, love.”

“Stop talking and take your clothes off.” She whimpered at him. She needed him inside her and she needed it now. Liam flashed his bright smile at her demand and made quick work of removing his clothes while Sophia discarded the remains of her dress and panties. Liam paused for a moment to take in her breathtaking beauty. He could never have enough of her. The sight of her naked body was intoxicating to him. “Fuck. You’re so perfect, my darling. And you’re all mine.” He growled.

Liam braced himself over her, inching into her heat painfully slow, tantalizing her with his hard length. “Tease!” She hissed, scratching harshly at his back. Liam smirked and kept thrusting at a slow steady pace. There would definitely be marks left on his back tomorrow.

“More, Liam. Please give me more. I can take it all.” She moaned when she couldn’t take his teasing any longer. Her pleas sent him into a frenzy and he allowed himself to sink into her completely.

“You’re so wet, baby.” He grunted stridently, his thrusts becoming hard and uneven. Primal instinct took over his body and he let himself go, driving into her with wild abandon, fucking her harder than he’s ever before. After tonight Liam wanted her to have no lingering doubts about how deep his love for her ran.

Sophia shut her eyes tight, her legs involuntarily clamping shut when she felt her climax beginning to rise, but Liam fought against her and pressed them back, keeping them spread far apart so she could see her take every last bit of him. He slammed into her over and over as they teetered the line between pleasure and pain.

“Open your eyes, Sophia. Look at me.” With great effort, she forced her eyes open and let out a string of deafening guttural cries as she watched him make her come harder than she ever had in her life while feeling his cock throbbing inside her from his own release. No other lover she had ever compared to Liam. When their bodies connected like this Sophia swore she saw stars.

Completely spent, Liam collapsed on Sophia, wanting to stay inside her for just a moment longer. She rested her head in the crook of his neck while they both tried to catch their breath. When he finally stopped panting, he rolled off her and carefully gathered her in his arms.

“You’re still trembling. Are you all right? Did I hurt you?”

Sophia smiled sweetly letting out a light laugh. “If you make love to me like that again I may not be able to walk down the aisle. You’ve turned my legs to jello, babe. That was incredible.”

Liam smiled devilishly at her and his eyes crinkled the way Sophia loved so much. “I can’t help it if my fiancée is the most beautiful, desirable woman in the world.”

“I love you, Liam.” She reached up to grasp his jaw, stroking the beard he had let grow in the last six months at her request. He continually went out of his way to do what made her happy. She felt a pang of guilt in her stomach that she hadn’t shared her fears with him earlier. “I’m sorry I lost it today.”

“You don’t have to apologize to me. I can’t believe my luck that you chose me… chose this chaotic life. I will do everything in my power to make you more comfortable in our home. Anything you ask for, it’s yours. I just never want you to doubt that you’re enough for me. You’re everything, Soph. My source of strength, my sunshine, my anchor, my favourite hello and my hardest goodbye. You’re my soul mate and incase you didn’t already get the memo; I am irrevocably in love with you Sophia. There’s no turning back for me. You’re it.”

Her heart thumped loudly in her chest at each of his admissions. She was in awe of his devotion to her. “I can’t wait to be your wife, Liam. The stresses that come with this life are worth it if I have your love.”

“Mmm. You have it, Soph. I’ve got you. Promise.” He closed his eyes sighing contentedly, exhaustion washing over him. I’ve got you. She repeated his promise in her head and closed her eyes too, feeling at peace and for the first time like maybe she could be a queen worthy of Liam and of Cordonia.
