Summary: After the meeting with Tad and Chadley, MC (Audrey) invites Seth over, and they reaffirm how much they want to be together. Smut alert.
Note: I really, really hate this “fake date Chadley” storyline. I know it’s for Hollywood politics, but it makes me cringe and is just gross. Neither of my RCD MC’s are happy about this, so I wrote a sort of alternate/additional ending to the latest chapter for my Seth MC.
As soon as she gets home, Audrey takes a long, hot shower. It doesn’t wash away the general disgust she feels about the meeting with Tad and having to fake date Chadley (god, even just thinking the words “date” and “Chadley” together in the same sentence makes her cringe), but she does feel marginally better when she gets out.
Wrapping herself in a fluffy towel, Audrey heads into her bedroom. Her phone is pinging incessantly with text message after text message from Tad. She groans loudly, then decides to ignore them for the night. She’s had enough nonsense for one day.
Instead, she pulls on a pair of shorts and a tank top and calls Seth while she walks to the living room. When he answers, he sounds less cheerful than he normally does, and a little tense. She hates hearing him like that.
“Hey, Iowa,” Seth greets her.
“Hey. So…I was about to put a movie in, this super cheesy 80s comedy that a certain someone told me about,” she says, pulling a DVD case off the shelf. “Care to join me?”
“You know, I’d love to,” Seth begins, “but I heard through the grapevine that you’re dating someone else. Wouldn’t want him to get jealous.”
Audrey can tell he’s joking, but the words still make her frown, until she hears him trying to fight back a laugh. She smiles, a tiny hint of a grin.
“He should be jealous,” she says, sinking onto one of the couches.
“Oh yeah?”
A car door slams on the other end of the line, and Audrey hears his car start.
“Yes,” she answers firmly. “Because I’m actually dating this really funny, really sweet guy. Who also happens to be really hot. And is an amazing screenwriter. And a great comedian. And-”
“Careful, Iowa, you’re gonna make me blush,” Seth says.
For a moment, it’s quiet but for their soft breathing, and the sounds of traffic coming from his end of the line, and then Seth asks, “So we’re dating, huh?”
She can almost see his smile, he sounds so happy.
“I want to,” she says softly.
“Me too,” he murmurs.
He pulls up to her house right as he says it, and, feeling partially cheesy and partially sentimental, she doesn’t hang up until he’s in the door. Audrey pulls him to her immediately, twining her arms around his neck and pressing her lips to his. Seth caresses her hips as they kiss, then wraps his arms around her.
Audrey sighs contentedly. As much as she still hates this arrangement Tad has forced her into, being held by Seth makes her forget about it temporarily. They curl up together on the couch, and Seth lets out a low whistle as the movie begins.
“Big screen, surround sound…movies on my crappy TV just won’t be the same after this,” he sighs.
Audrey laughs, nuzzling against his neck. “You know, you can come over and watch movies here whenever you want.”
Seth pretends to consider this. “What about pool privileges?”
“I suppose I can throw those in too,” she teases him.
She leans up to kiss him again, no longer caring about the movie just starting to play on the screen behind her.
“But only if you let me join you,” she breathes in his ear, and feels his arm tighten around her waist.
“I was hoping that was part of the deal,” Seth murmurs.
“It definitely is.”
Her words end on a quiet exhale at the feel of his fingers on her bare skin, just above the waistband of her shorts. They trace soft, delicate patterns across her lower back while he kisses her slowly. Audrey presses closer to him, threading her leg between his. He groans when she squirms against him and runs her fingers into his hair.
“What about the movie?” he manages to get out.
Audrey pulls away just enough to grab the remote and shut the TV off. “What movie?”
She shifts underneath him, moaning quietly at the feel of Seth’s body pressed along the length of hers. His hips rock into hers, his kisses growing in their urgency.
“Here?” he asks in a low voice. “Or do you want to…”
Audrey shakes her head, wrapping one of her legs around his back. “Here.”
Her fingers fly over the buttons on his shirt, pushing it over his shoulders, then reach for his belt. She sits up when she gets the buckle undone, and Seth pulls her upright.
His hands are eager when they reach for her shirt, so she’s surprised when he slowly, so slowly, drags it off and over her head. He kisses her collarbones and the tops of her breasts while he unhooks her bra, his stubble pleasantly scratching over her.
“I figure we won’t be able to see each other as much now,” he says by way of explanation when his eyes finally meet hers. There’s a hint of disappointment in them. “So…”
Audrey kisses him soundly, then burrows her face against his neck. “I won’t let that happen,” she vows. “We’ll see each other as much as we want. More, preferably.”
“I like more.”
“Every day,” she says, pressing Seth back into the couch until she’s lying on top of him.
“What about every hour?” he groans.
Her answer is to kiss down his neck, gently nipping at his skin. She sucks in a breath when he eases her shorts and underwear off, the denim of his jeans scraping over her skin.
“If you can figure out a way to sneak onto the set of Double Agent without getting caught, then yes,” she says.
They fumble together to get his jeans off. Seth reaches for the waistband of his boxers, but Audrey stills his hand. He watches her lean down to kiss him, and she feels him tense in anticipation when she kisses down his neck again, then his chest, then his stomach. His muscles clench under her touch, his erection straining against the soft fabric of his boxers.
“Audrey,” he groans when her lips brush along his hip bones.
“Mm,” she hums, slipping her hand into the opening on his boxers.
She skims her fingertips along his length, feeling him twitch and harden impossibly more. It makes her flush and sends an immediate flood of heat to her core, feeling how much he wants her. Seth’s hands tangle in her hair and he lifts his hips up so she can pull his boxers off.
The look on his face when she glances up at him almost makes her straddle him right then and there. But…no. Not yet. She trails her fingers along his thigh, then takes him in her hand and lowers her head.
Seth grunts something unintelligible at the feel of her lips kissing along his length. He jerks against her when she runs her tongue over him. The noises he’s making are unbelievably arousing, soft moans and muffled words. His eyes dart to hers when she flicks her tongue against his slit and sucks just the tip of him into her mouth.
“Oh god,” he moans.
His fingers bury in her hair and his head drops back on the couch. Audrey lowers her head more. She sucks gently, and squeezes her fingers around him, just a little.
“That’s…Audrey…” he pants.
She bobs her head even lower and feels his thighs tense as he strains not to arch into her. When she swirls her tongue around him and moves a little faster, his fingers tighten in her hair. He tugs her up after a minute, his breathing ragged and his skin flushed.
“You are…that was…” Seth shakes his head, at a loss for words. “You always leave me speechless, Iowa,” he manages to get out, the corners of his mouth lifting up.
Audrey leans down, inhaling sharply when he kisses her with a burning intensity. “I need you,” she gasps, sliding her hips forward.
Something about her words gives him pause, just for a brief second where he stares at her with soft wonder in his eyes. Audrey swallows hard, both from that look and from wanting him. Seth kisses her again, a gentle press of his lips, then surges into her.
“Oh,” she moans.
She braces her hands on his chest, her eyes locked on his before she closes them and tilts her head down, almost overwhelmed at the way he makes her feel. It isn’t just the feeling of him filling her, or how good his hands feel on her skin, or how whenever he kisses her, she always wants more. It’s the way she can tell that he genuinely cares about her and wants her to be happy. It’s the way he can always make her laugh when she’s having a bad day and is always there to listen. It’s the way she can tell that he trusts her, even in this awkward, awful situation they’ve been forced into. It’s…everything.
Forcing her eyes back open, she finds Seth staring at her. His hands grip her hips, and when he sees her eyes open again, he pulls her down across his chest. They share desperate, frantic kisses as they move together.
Seth’s arms are solid and strong, holding her tightly to him. He thrusts into her again and again until she nearly sobs his name, sinking her teeth into his neck and coming apart. The clench of her muscles around him makes him groan, and he slams into her once more.
Audrey collapses against him, breathing hard. Their skin is slick with sweat, they’re crammed together on the couch, but she has no desire to move. She lets her eyes close when Seth runs his hand through her hair, and presses lazy kisses to his chest every so often. Eventually, her muscles protest the position she’s in, and she straightens her legs out. She smiles when Seth tilts her chin up and kisses her deeply.
After a minute, he moves underneath her, grimacing a little, and says, “I hate to ruin the moment, but…my back does not like your couch.”
Audrey sighs heavily. “Ah. I forgot I’m dating an older man.”
Seth gasps. “Older, yes, but also wiser.”
She grins, teasingly trailing a finger down his chest and watching his pupils dilate. “Of course.”
Before she stands, she leans down to kiss him one last time.
“I know we can’t make this ‘official’, official to everyone yet,” she says, allowing herself a brief moment to internally berate Tad, “but as soon as this movie and the hype is over, I want to. First thing.”
“Will you judge me if I shout it from the rooftops?” Seth asks.
Audrey grins. “No. But only if I can too.”
