Bastien knocked on Leo’s door. He knew Constantine wouldn’t want his son to sleep the whole day away. When he got no response, he knocked again, then opened the door. He frowned as he saw that the room was empty. Oh no, he thought. He searched the palace, but there was no sign of Leo. He reached into his pocket, pulled out his phone, and opened up his cell phone tracking app. He groaned as he saw Leo’s location: Athens, Greece.
A call to the airport confirmed that the royal jet was not in its hangar. He immediately began making plans to fly to Athens. To his dismay, the next flight with an available seat was not until that evening. After breaking the news to Constantine, he packed a bag. Throughout the day, he kept monitoring Leo’s location. Finally, he departed for the airport. Once he arrived, he checked in and went through airport security. He cringed as he reached the gate and saw that his flight had been delayed.
By the time he arrived in Athens, it was late. He rented a car, then checked Leo’s location again. He drove through the city until he reached the area that the app’s GPS had pinpointed. A neon sign with the name Dionysus caught his eye. Bastien shook his head. He had been stressed out all day, and Leo was having a good time partying at a nightclub.
He parked the car, then walked into the club. As he made his way inside, he surveyed his surroundings. He didn’t see Leo on the dance floor. He headed towards the back of the room. Once he neared the bar, he spotted Leo with a pretty dark-haired woman. Leo’s face fell as Bastien approached.
“Come on, we’re leaving.” Bastien turned from Leo to the woman. “I’m sorry, but he can’t stay.”
“I’m not going anywhere.” Leo downed his drink, then reached into his pocket and handed the woman some money. “Could you get us some more drinks, please?”
“Does she even know you’re engaged?” Bastien asked Leo as the woman walked to the bar.
Leo shrugged. “She knows who I am, so she probably heard.”
“Lady Madeleine won’t like this,” Bastien reminded him.
“She knows I don’t love her. Besides, how will she know? It’s not like you’re going to tell her, right?” Leo looked at Bastien pointedly.
Soon Leo’s companion was back with the drinks. She handed one to Leo, who immediately took a sip, then looked to Bastien. “You don’t want me flying the plane home under the influence, do you? And I don’t think you’ll be able to get us a flight tonight. So we’re staying here.”
Bastien had to admit that Leo had a point. He’d just have to keep a close eye on Leo and take him home tomorrow.
“Hey there, handsome.”
Bastien turned around and found himself face to face with another pretty dark-haired woman who was holding two drinks. She smiled at him and handed one to him. “I’m Ioanna.” She motioned to Leo’s companion. “Sofia’s roommate.”
Bastien took the drink from her. “Thank you. I’m Bastien, Prince Leo’s bodyguard.”
Ioanna winked at him. “Want to guard my body instead?”
Bastien blushed deeply. He wasn’t used to women being so forward with him. Ever since King Constantine had hired him, he hadn’t really had time for relationships. Since he didn’t have many friends, he didn’t have many opportunities to go out and meet people anyway. He didn’t really want to go out alone. He was the quiet type and didn’t like approaching strangers.
Leo laughed at Bastien’s embarrassment. “Go on, have some fun.”
Bastien took a big gulp of his drink, which turned out to be a rum and coke. “So much for nursing this,” he muttered as he noticed the decrease in volume in his glass.
“Oh, you’re drinking tonight! I’ll make sure of that.” Leo smirked and looked to the others. “What do you say we play Never Have I Ever?”
“No,” Bastien groaned. “I still have to drive.” And they barely knew these women. What if Leo admitted to something scandalous and they sold the story to the tabloids?
Sofia moved closer to Leo. “You guys can stay at our place tonight. We only live a couple of blocks away.”
“It’s settled, then.” Leo paused, thinking. “Never have I ever worked for a king.”
Bastien took a sip of his drink, then glared at Leo. “You’re trying to get me drunk, aren’t you?”
Leo ignored the question. “You’re next.”
Bastien tried to think of something that Leo hadn’t done. He didn’t want the prince to get too drunk. “Never have I ever had a pet ferret.”
Ioanna took a drink. “I had one when I was younger.” She smiled at Bastien. “Never have I ever had sex in a hot tub.”
Leo quickly raised his glass. His eyes widened as Bastien slowly did the same. “Was this at the palace?”
Bastien shook his head. It had happened when he and his last serious girlfriend, Juliette, were still together. They had broken up just before he became a guard.
Sofia reached out and stroked Leo’s hair. “Never have I ever slept with a prince.”
“Not yet.” Leo leaned in and kissed her.
By the time they left the club, everyone was at least a little tipsy. Leo and Sofia held hands as they walked to the girls’ apartment. Once they were inside, Leo pushed Sofia against the wall and kissed her deeply.
“Get a room!” shouted Ioanna.
Reluctantly, Leo pulled away. Sofia took his hand and led him into her bedroom. Bastien sat down on the couch.
“Can I get you anything?” Ioanna asked him.
“How about some water?” He’d already had enough to drink, and he was technically still on duty.
Ioanna poured herself a glass of wine, and got a bottle of water for Bastien. Soon she was sitting by his side.
“Thank you,” he said as she handed him the water.
“You’re welcome.” She smiled and placed her hand on his thigh.
He looked into her eyes. “We’re going back to Cordonia tomorrow. I’m not looking for a relationship. My job keeps me busy, and I just don’t have the time.”
“That’s OK. We can still have fun tonight.” She moved closer and pressed her lips to his.
It had been so long since anyone had kissed him. He gave in to temptation and kissed her back. They made out on the couch for a while. Suddenly they heard loud moans coming from Sofia’s bedroom.
Bastien turned red. “This is awkward.”
“Let’s drown them out, then.” Ioanna took his hand and led him to her bedroom. Once they were inside, she loosened his tie and took off his jacket. They began to kiss again, and she unbuttoned his shirt. She kicked off her shoes and pulled her dress over her head. Bastien stared at her as she stood before him, wearing only a red lace bra and matching panties.
“Do you like what you see?” she asked him.
“Oh, yes,” he replied, breathing heavily. He could feel himself growing harder.
Ioanna moved closer and guided him to her bed. As she unzipped Bastien’s pants, a more practical concern popped into his head. “Do you have protection?”
Ioanna reached into her bedside drawer and took out a condom. “Right here.” She set it down on top of the nightstand, then pushed Bastien down onto the bed and climbed on top of him. He wrapped his arms around her, unhooked her bra, and pulled it off. He cupped her breasts with his hands and began kissing her neck.
He felt her tugging off his boxers, and he moaned softly as she grasped his hardness. His cries grew louder as she lowered her head and began to suck on him. She was making him feel so good, better than he had in a long time. Finally, before he could lose control, he grabbed her hair and pulled her head back.
“Let me return the favor,” he said to her. He slid her panties down and rubbed her clit as he slipped a finger inside her. He flipped her over so she was lying on the bed. He kissed her chest, then her stomach, and then lower. Once his head was between her legs, she began breathing heavily. Her panting turned to moaning as she grew wetter.
Bastien reached for the condom and put it on, then climbed on top of her and thrust himself inside. Their hips began moving together rhythmically. He began to thrust more rapidly as she grabbed his ass and pulled him deeper inside. He felt the heat surge within him, growing hotter, until he finally exploded.
He rolled off her, and she lay in his arms. Soon they were both asleep.
Bastien and Leo stayed for breakfast the next morning, but then they had to head back to Cordonia. Leo wrapped his arms around Sofia and kissed her passionately.
Bastien turned to Ioanna. “It was a pleasure.” He leaned in and kissed her.
She pulled him closer. “Same here.”
