too much fun

a/n: just two idiots in love
summary: damien and joe decided to celebrate their anniversary in the pub they’ve met for the first time and well… joe definitely drank too much

“I needed this.” Joe sighed content. “Thank you for tonight. I had so much fun.” He said kissing Damien on the cheek.

“Oh, you sure did.” Damien chuckled. “And I’m sure that girl with I quote the most incredible pink hair on the planet had fun too.” He rolled his eyes.

“Babe! You’re not jealous, are you?” Joe stopped and waited for his boyfriend to answer.

“I’m not. I’m just messing with you.” Damien smiled fondly.

“Good,” Joe stated and basically squished Damien’s face. “Because I love you and you only.” He said in a serious tone which still looked a bit ridiculous since he was super drunk.

“I love you too, you drunk idiot.” Damien laughed and they started walking again. “And to answer your question from when we were at the pub – I realized I was in love with you when all of my decisions began to revolve around you.” He confessed taking Joe’s hand in his.

The rest of the way to their apartment Joe was rumbling how much he loves Damien and how grateful and lucky he is to have such a great boyfriend like him. And it was cute until Joe practically screamed and ran to the nearest trash can and threw up. Damien only rolled his eyes and patiently waited for Joe to finish so they could finally go back home.

“Thank you but I’m perfectly fine. I’m not drunk. I’m sober.” Joe enunciated after he tripped going into their place and when Damien offered him help.

You are sober?” Damien raised his brows and tried not to laugh.

“Yes, I am!” Joe assured him and then immediately tripped again. “Okay, I’m moderately functional.”

Damien decided not to discuss this any further. He sat Joe on the couch in the living room and went to take off his jacket and shoes but when he went back he saw Joe stumbling toward their bedroom.

“What do you think you’re doing?” He asked making Joe stop in his track.

“Oh, I’m going to demolish our bedroom.” Joe shrugged like it was nothing.

“Oh like hell you are…” Damien said to himself and dragged Joe back to the couch. “You’re going to sit here nicely until I’ll be back from the bathroom, okay?”

“Sure.” Joe yawned and sprawled on the couch.

Damien sighed and even though every fibre of his body was telling him not to leave Joe alone right now he went to the bathroom anyway hoping that when he’ll be back his hammered boyfriend will be passed out.

But that would be just too easy. So after Damien was gone Joe got up from the couch and went to the kitchen. He sat on the counter dangling his feet and to kill some time took some spoons and started banging them against each other in order to make some ‘awesome’ music.

Then Damien came back and if it wasn’t for his great reflex something would collide with his head. Something being a spoon as he found out seconds later. He picked the spoon from the floor and went to the kitchen trying to avoid other being thrown at him.

“Are you… are you throwing spoons at me?” He asked Joe obviously, already knowing the answer.

“Maybe?” Joe smiled innocently with another spoon in his hand ready to being thrown.

“I think that’s enough fun for tonight, huh?” Damien suggested caressing Joe’s cheek.

“Or the fun can just begin.” Joe wiggled his brows and jumped into Damien’s arms.

“I can’t believe I’m so in love with an idiot like you.” Damien laughed and carried Joe to their bedroom where as soon as he landed on their bed he fell asleep.

“I guess that makes me a very lucky idiot,” Joe mumbled when Damien joined him on the bed.
