“You blink a lot,” Krissy, Aaron’s cousin said as she tightly gripped Sloane’s chin with her small hand, twisting her head this way and that. “Oooh, use the blue!” Missy, the younger sibling squealed, pointing at the vibrant blue color in Krissy’s eyeshadow kit. “I don’t think…” Sloane began, but the sisters payed her no mind. “No, Missy, are you crazy? It’ll totally clash!” the oldest sister sighed, and Missy crossed her small arms defiantly. “But she’s wearing a blue shirt!”

Sloane fought the urge to flee from the room. She and Aaron were babysitting Aaron’s Filipino cousins for the afternoon; Melissa and Katherine, eight and eleven respectively. Many things made Sloane nervous, but kids were a special brand of anxiety. As cute as they were, and friendly to boot, she couldn’t keep up with their constant stream of chatter, which straddled the line of verbal abuse to one another just a bit.

“There!” Krissy sat back, admiring her handiwork. “Now to add the blush and lipstick!” she beamed, and Sloane gulped. Aaron had left her in the hands of two makeup artist hopefuls and she was terrified to see her reflection when all was said and done. She pulled out her phone and sent an SOS to Aaron, angry that she’d been left to fend for herself. Granted it’d only been fifteen minutes, and Aaron had gone to the store to pick up chocolate, mini marshmallows and popcorn, but she felt completely out of her league. However, being poked and prodded while her physical appearance was alerted for the amusement of Krissy and Missy was not how she’d originally planned to entertain the sisters during Aaron’s supposedly short absence. When she was eleven years old, she’d been content to sit by herself and make progress on one of her 1,000 piece puzzles.

“I wanna trace her lips!” Missy pouts, but Krissy only shakes her head, following the outline of Sloane’s lips with the liner, a red just as bright as the untouched blue eye shadow. “No, you’ll just mess up, dummy!” Krissy snipped, switching to a matching lipstick color. Sloane fought the urge to bite her freshly lined lips. The lipstick from the tube Krissy held was obviously a favorite, with nothing but a nub left over. What eleven-year old needed makeup? “Th-that’s not very sanitary!” Sloane stammered, praying that Aaron would burst through the room at any moment and save her from this nightmare.

As if sensing her impatience, the girls and Sloane heard the back door open and Krissy capped the tube, tossing it to the side.

“Aaron!”

“Yay, you’re back!”

Both girls took off after the noise, and Sloane breathed a heavy sigh of relief. She escaped to the restroom to wash off her face. At the door Aaron quickly dropped the grocery bags in his hands to prepare himself. Missy and Krissy launched themselves into his arms. “I wasn’t gone that long,” he lifted them up, tossing Krissy over his shoulder and holding Missy underneath his other arm. He flipped her so she was upside down and she released a shrill laugh, her legs kicking. “Careful now,” Aaron laughed, carrying them to the den area and depositing them onto the couch. His eyes scanned the room, spotting Sloane’s glasses. Worry was etched in his features. “Guys, where’s Sloane?” What he didn’t asked was, Where did you guys scare her off to? He’d only wanted Sloane to get comfortable with his family, but maybe he shouldn’t have brushed off her panicked when he left her earlier. Krissy shrugged, but Missy tilted her head to the side as if listening carefully. “Someone’s in the bathroom,” she said, and her eyes lit up. “We gave Sloane a makeover!” she grinned, and Aaron stared at his cousin in disbelief. “You…what?” He shook his head, gesturing to the door. “You guys take the popcorn out and get ready to make the s’mores.”

He didn’t have to tell them twice. Both girls skipped towards the kitchen while Aaron made his way to the bathroom. Sure enough, there was Sloane, bent over the sink scrubbing her face. Sensing his presence, Sloane looked back, her face flushing as she dripped water over the sink vanity. She squinted shortly before turning back, and Aaron had a feeling it was less to see clearly and more tinged with anger. “It’ll be like ten minutes,” she mimicked him to the mirror, confirming to Aaron he might be in some trouble. “There was an accident on the way here. Traffic only got worse,” he explained, and hesitantly rested a hand on her shoulder. When she didn’t brush him off, he let out a sigh of relief, and carefully maneuvered around her to retrieve the makeup remover wipes. “Allow me,” he smoothly shut the water off and snatched out a few wipes from the container. “Krissy?” he asked, and Sloane scowled, but let him slowly rub off the glittery, eyeliner residue away.

Her lips were smudged, but rather than use another wipe, Aaron slid Sloane over to give him better access to the cabinet under the sink. “Vasline?” Sloane gave him an incredulous look as he dipped his finger in and rubbed the waxy spread across her lips. “A little trick I learned from Nadia and my aunt,” he explained, using tissue to rub it away. He washed his hands then leaned back, examining Sloane’s face, noticing the not so subtle way she watched his lips. He grinned and leaned in to her. “Oh,” she startled, but followed his lead. Aaron kissed a hot, breathy trail up her neck. His fingers found their way under her skirt, teasing the lining of her underwear. “Wait,” Sloane pulled back, and Aaron halted his movement. “What’s wrong?” he asked, but his concerns were wiped away when Sloane gestured nervously to the open door. “We could be, um, interrupted,” she began, but Aaron shut and locked the door, bracing Sloane against it.

“There’s enough sugar out there to reopen their cavities. In Krissy and Missy’s book, I’m the world’s greatest cousin, but right now I’d like to be the world’s greatest boyfriend.” Before Sloane could respond, Aaron’s hand slid down the side of her body, fingers inching their way back to her underwear, carefully rubbing the dampening fabric. Aaron chuckled, kissing her softly and keeping a steady tempo.

“A-aron…”

“I’m sorry, what was that?” Aaron watched as her eyes fluttered, rubbing his thumb across her clit. Sloane whimpered, one of her hands coming to rest on the arm of his moving hand. “Not so fast, babe,” he whispered as Sloane squirmed against the door. Aaron continued to stroke in slow circles, laughing as Sloane scratched his arms to hurry him on. “You like that?” Aaron spoke again, speeding up. She nodded.

“Talk to me, Sloane.”

“I…I…” He licked his lips, watching the way words failed her. He pushed one finger in, felt the way she twitched against the heel of his hand. Aaron pushed her shirt up, freeing one breast from her bra. His tongue traced a circle around her nipple, before he sucked down. Sloane moaned in pleasure, bucking her hips, her hand strewn tightly through his hair. Aaron pushed another finger inside her, curling and uncurling, pushing in sync to the way Sloane tilted her hips. Bodies pushed closed together, Sloane could feel his erection through his jeans. She could also feel herself fighting for purchase against the door, eyes falling shut as she sought more of his touch.

“God, you’re so beautiful,” she heard Aaron say, her shirt falling back down. Her eyes opened back up just slightly. His usually brown eyes seemed much darker, tinted with lust. Sloane shivered. “That’s it. Shit, I wanna see the exact moment you come.” Aaron twisted his fingers inside her, and Sloane pulled at his hair, eliciting a growl. It was like a switch went off. Eyes locked on Sloane, Aaron watched and felt her come apart across his fingers, a wave crashing over her in the best possible way. He slipped his fingers out, pressing a kiss to her lips. Sloane collapsed into Aaron, her heart thundering against his own chest.

“Aaron?”

“Sloooooaaaaaaaannnnneeee!”

“Missy spilled her popcorn!”

“You pushed the bowl!”

The girls still sounded far away, but it was only a matter of time before they went to investigate where both adults had disappeared to. Aaron kissed her again, taking in her slightly disheveled state. “So…am I forgiven?” he asked, suddenly sheepish, and Sloane bit her lip, swollen from their kissing. Finally, she smiled, and Aaron nearly died on the spot. As if pulled together by a magnet, the two leaned in to each other, only to be interrupted by an obnoxious crash from the other room.
