Another Silly Prank

Author’s note: This was an anonymous request I received of a headcanon where TRR MC suspects Liam is having a third bachelor party.

Jade walked back to her room after one of her classes when she heard a chatter coming from the guests living room.

“How are the preparations?” Leo asked.

“Place? Check. Staff? Check. Band? Check. Liam’s favorite whiskey? Check. Appetizers? Check,” Maxwell said as he made check marks in a clipboard. Maxwell with a clipboard? Last time he did things so thoroughly was during Liam’s bachelor party in Paris, when he hired courtesans for a special performance for the King and his guests. “What about the guests?”

“It’s handled. Everyone confirmed,” Leo smiled slyly.

“Yes! This is going to be epic. Just the guys, no courtly drama, no rules… Just like old times,” Maxwell chirped.

Old times? Jade remembered what Liam told her about his late teenage years and early twenties when Leo hosted many secret orgies at the Palace, the Beaumont estate and the Applewood Manor. She knew Leo was up to no good.

“Just make sure my future new sis will be occupied tonight. I heard about her tendency to show up at Liam’s bachelor parties,” Leo said.

Her eyes went wide. A new bachelor party organized by the mischievous former prince? Oh, hell no! “Hey, guys,” she barged in unapologetically. The two men exchanged glances as she sat on the couch across them smiling. “What are you up to?”

“Oh, you know… just two buddies reminiscing about the old days.” Maxwell said nonchalantly. But Jade saw right through it.

“You mean the days when Leo hosted his secret parties?” She surmised.

Maxwell looked at Leo warily, who simply grinned. “I’m glad my fame precedes me, future sis, but this will a mere friendly gathering. A couple of friends, drinks, high stakes, a few dares. No big deal. I’d invite you, but I know you have a slumber party planned with the ladies for tonight.”

“Hmm… Oddly convenient of you to plan a boys night on the same night I had something planned with Hana, Julie, and Penelope.” Jade smiled, but it didn’t quite reach her eyes.

Leo lifted his hands up. “Hey, I’m just inviting people. Liam chose the date and the place,” he turned to Maxwell with a devilish smile. “Any word from the performers?”

“What?!” Jade scowled at them. “Maxwell!” Her face began to redden. “I can’t believe you’re behind all this.”

The young Beaumont glared at the Prince, who shrugged. “She would’ve found out about it sooner or later. It’s for the best.”

She stood up and slapped both of their arms. They flinched, but Leo remained grinning. “I’ll deal with you later,” she stormed out of the room and the Prince laughed.

“Leo, why did you say that to her? Liam just agreed to a low key poker night,” Maxwell ranted.

“Yeah, I know,” he guffawed. “It just that everybody says she’s bold and feisty, but all I’ve seen is another pretty noblewoman. I want to see what’s behind the good girl mask.”

“I hope you’re satisfied right now because she’s going to kill you.”

“She will not. Liam won’t allow it because she doesn’t have diplomatic immunity yet. And he won’t get me killed either. They’ll probably just torture me for a bit,” he jested.

“What if they trash your bike?”

Leo cocked an eyebrow at Maxwell, giving him a dirty look. “Don’t even joke about that, little Beaumont.”

Liam studied some documents when he was startled by the sound of the door being slammed shut. He looked up and saw the reddened angry face of his fiancee staring at him. “Jay, is everything alright?”

“Don’t you Jay me, Rys!” She approached the desk, holding its ends firmly. “Why are you having a third bachelor party?”

“I am not. Who told you that?”

“Your brother!” She barked.

Liam smacked his forehead. Of course, Leo would say something like that after their talk in the previous night when he mentioned he missed his older brother so much that he even missed his practical jokes. “Honey, it’s not true. He tricked you to make you mad at me.”

“Why would he do that?”

“Because that’s the kind of stupid practical jokes my brother does. He likes to test people’s limits. I told you he’s a man-child,” he stood up and walked around the desk to wrap his arms around her, pressing her back in his chest.

“Uggh! I hate your brother,” she fumed.

“I know, my Queen. Me too,” Liam whispered in her ear, leaving fleeting kisses along her neck and shoulder and her body slowly relaxed. “Were you jealous?”

“Yes, I was,” she turned around to look at him. “You had two bachelor parties, our wedding is approaching and I’ve never even had a girls night out.”

“Aha! So that’s why you’re mad. You want a bachelorette party,” he smirked.

“I do, I deserve it. I’m getting married after months trying to solve a scheme against me and someone tried to kill me seconds after I became a duchess. I need to blow off some steam, Liam.”

He chuckled. “Fair point. I’ll assign some of the ladies to make the arrangements for your bachelorette party then. I’m sure Hana or Juliet will be elated to do it. Any requests?”

“Cocktails, dancing on the bar and strippers,” she beamed and he frowned. “Okay, okay… I’ll be fine if I don’t get to dance on the bar.” He narrowed his eyes at her and she giggled. “I’m kidding,” Jade rose up to her toes and kissed him. “But I know about the Parisian hookers at your second bachelor party, so I figured you wouldn’t mind.”

Liam closed his eyes and felt his cheeks heat. Damnit, Maxwell! “Hey, it’s fine. No need to be embarrassed or regretful about it. I’m not holding it against you. But let me know next time you have courtesans over. I saw pictures of that night and the ones Maxwell hired were not that sexy…” Jade teased.

“Really? Would you pick them for me?” His hand slid down her back to her thighs, cupping her buttcheeks under her red box pleat skirt.

“Sure I would. My King deserves only the best.”

“And would you join me for a private party with them later?”

“Will you ever get over the idea of watching me hooking up with another woman?” Jade pursed her lips jokingly.

“I will. After I watch it,” he smiled coyly.

“You pervert…”
